Rotary Peace Fellowships Fully Funded 2020-2021 is designed for leaders with work experience in peace and development. So our fellows are committed to the community and international service and the pursuit of peace. Each year, The Rotary Foundation awards up to 50 fellowships for master’s degrees and 80 for certificate studies at premier universities.

In addition, Through academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities. The Rotary Peace Centers program develops the capacity for peace and development professionals. The purpose of it to become experienced and effective catalysts for peace.

The fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses. Since the program began in 2002, the Rotary Peace Centers have trained more than 1,300 fellows who now work in more than 115 countries.

Details & Requirements

The following are the details and requirements.

  • Submit your application by 31 May.
  • Each year, Rotary awards up to 130 fully-funded fellowships for dedicated leaders from around the world to study at one of our peace centers.
  • Be proficient in English as well as holding a bachelor’s degree.
  • Have a strong commitment to cross-cultural understanding and peace as shown through professional and academic achievements and personal or community service
  • Also, Potential for leadership
  • Have at least three years of full-time experience in peace or development work
  • Applications require an updated resume (CV).
  • Academic and/or professional recommendation Letters.
  • Essays as well as the applicant’s last transcripts.
  • Social impact plan (certificate only), and test scores (master’s only). All materials must be in English.

You are not eligible if you are an active Rotary member, employee of a Rotary club, Rotary International, or other Rotary entity.

Eligibility Restrictions in Rotary Peace Fellowships Fully Funded 2020-2021

Rotary Peace Fellowships may not be used for doctoral study. The following people are not eligible for the master’s degree program:

  • Active Rotary members
  • Employees of a Rotary club or district, Rotary International, or other Rotary entity
  • Spouses, lineal descendants (children or grandchildren by blood or legal adoption), spouses of lineal descendants, or ancestors (parents or grandparents by blood) of any living person in these categories
  • Former Rotary members and their relatives as described above (within 36 months of their resignation)

Recipients of Rotary Global Grants Scholarships must wait three years after completing the scholarship to apply for Rotary Peace Fellowship programs.

Rotary Peace Fellows who have completed the certificate program must wait three years to apply for the master’s degree program. Certificate fellows are not eligible for another certificate fellowship.

Similarly, Rotary Peace Fellows who have completed the master’s degree program must wait five years to apply for the certificate program.

Choose the program that’s right for you

Master’s degree programs

Accepted candidates study peace and development issues with research-informed teaching and a diverse student body. The programs last 15 to 24 months and include a two- to three-month field study, which participants design themselves.

The professional development certificate program

During the one-year program, experienced peace and development professionals with diverse backgrounds gain practical skills to promote peace within their communities and across the globe. Fellows complete field studies and they also design and carry out a social change initiative.

The following are the defined benefits of the Rotary Peace Fellowships Fully Funded 2020-2021.

  • Complete Tuition fees of selected applicants as well as registration fees.
  • Room cost as well as Board expenses.
  • Airfare of both sides.
  • All internships and practical study costs.

How to Apply.

The application will be available in February 2020. Every year, districts must submit endorsed applications to The Rotary Foundation by 31st May 2020.
